January 21, 2019 – As part of the Art Institute’s King Day Festival: Long Journey into Freedom, Tonika Johnson hosted a Folded Map interactive activity station. She invited visitors to think about the qualities of the spaces where they live, create their own family portrait to add the portrait collage and to flag where they live on an oversized map of Chicago.
